International Centre for Critical Infrastructure Decision-Making

The decision model

The decision model sets out how a single decision in critical infrastructure is shaped, and where its effects travel. The decision sits at the centre. Around it are the layers its consequences pass through, from the organisation's own decision architecture to the people and services that ultimately depend on it. The pressures that bear on the decision act from outside, and the whole system operates within a sovereign context.
